New Sarum Public School
2025-2026 Safe and Inclusive School Plan
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.
Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.
Key Priorities and Goals
This year we are focusing on building skills to promote acceptance of others.
We are doing this to ensure that all members of our community feel welcome and valued while at New Sarum Public School.
Key Actions or Strategies
- Our school will be participating in monthly character trait and inclusion assemblies.
- We will use announcements to set school-wide goals, share positive impact stories, and recognize those who demonstrate inclusion.
- We will use student created bulletin boards to educate others on character traits, our differences, bullying, and health and wellbeing.
Community and Home Connections
- Ask your child about our monthly character traits.
- Try some of these activities provided by School Mental Ontario (SMHO) at home with your child.
